Biru-Putih-Hati, is delivering a unique local healthy food movement, recognized by all consumers in Malaysia, and defined as:
Food accessibility
Transparent methods
Fair practices
An obligation of means and results
Biru-Putih-Hati’s scientific approach
Have you ever heard the expression « We are what we eat! » ?
Practices in agriculture and animal husbandry are very important in determining the value of nutritious food and the impact on health and climate.
Our belief that « connecting land and food has a positive impact on the environment, as well as animal and human health » must be based on solid scientific evidence throughout collaborative research projects.
A clinical study in the 2000s conducted with INRAE (French National Research Institute for Agriculture,
Food and the Environment), proved the effect of a balanced animal feed rich in Omega3, on human health real experimental evidence, often published and quoted by scientific press and articles.
Since then, many other clinical studies have been conducted and hundreds of scientific publications
have been published in international scientific journals, proving the positive effects of balanced animal
nutrition on the animals, the humans, the soil and the environment (AGRALID, PROLEVAL and ONIRIS studies…).
Today, the international Bleu-Blanc-Coeur movement, continues its research and development work led by a scientific and expert committee, involving researchers from various specialties: cardiologists, diabetologists, biochemists, nutritionists, animal husbandry experts or plant physiologists…
A better understanding, through proven scientific research, of the systemic relationship between land, animals and people, will always be at the heart of the Biru-Putih-Hati approach.
Biru-Putih-Hati guidelines
To ensure that we respect our commitment, Biru-Putih-Hati has defined guidelines that connect all stakeholders of the food chain in relation to specific practices that help their production to fit with our sustainable model.
All members must read and apply them.
Biru-Putih-Hati coordinates many guidelines, from crops to animal production, from breeding to processing.
The guidelines are based on two-way compliance, specific methods that need to be implemented, and specific results (= a minimum nutritional quality results to be achieve for a food product to bear the Biru-Putih-Hati logo).
A Biru-Putih-Hati technical guideline exists for each species (animal or plant), detailing the needs, limitations, analysis, controls and
monitoring involved, which must be considered.
However, the real originality of Biru-Putih-Hati, is to define in our methods the need to measure the correct nutritional achievement.
Our food chain achievement are largely audited with farm-to-fork audit transparency and analytical testing on the final products.
